Hurricane Harvey - Note From the State of Texas
We just received this awesome message from Taylor Wolter, Disaster Services Program Officer for the OneStar Foundation, in regards to a donation we made. In early September, we shipped over 8000 deodorant, first aid, and baby products (almost $60,000) to Rock Port Fire Department for Harvey victims. We wished we could do more, but we hope this made a difference during their hard times. Two of the owners of our company used to live in Texas, so we have a soft spot for the state. Keep shining bright H-town!
Dear Green Goo,
Thank you for your generosity and support of Hurricane Harvey survivors. Your offer exemplifies the way in which we come together to support one another during our time of greatest need. Record setting devastation in Texas was met with an outpouring of generosity, with offers like yours helping to provide immediate comfort, safety, and security to the millions of Texans impacted by the storm.
Although the flood waters may have receded, and cameras may have left, know that Harvey impacted communities are going to continue to need your generous support as hundreds of thousands of survivors begin the process of repairing and rebuilding their homes and lives. Please visit VolunteerTx.org to learn more about how you can continue to support Harvey survivors in the months and years ahead.
On behalf of the State of Texas, thank you for coming together to support us during our time of need. While the road to recovery is just beginning and will take many years, Texas stands stronger than ever with giving hands and hearts supporting us each step of the way.
